Facebook have many user access from one day to one day. Sometime we are store all about your information in Facebook. As you login every single day from many devices such as mobile phone, computer at home, office or friend's laptop, there is a chance that you may leave your Facebook account on without logging out. If someone stole you account and do in the bed way may be you have a big problem. And sometime you lose your phone and you not yet log out with your Facebook account. But don't worry about this problem you can secure your account Facebook. If you follow all those points may be you can secure with your Facebook account.
1- Create Strong Password
Password is very important for protect your account. Some people use password with Email, Twitter, Facebook,..are the same password, it is dangerous and easy for someone stole your account. And if you use password only number like(12345), it is very week password, very easy to guess your password. So for secure your password you should combination of small and capital letters, number and symbols . It is the strong password, not easy or guess.
To change you password in Facebook account , go to Settings > General > Password
2- Add Your Phone Number
This is the best way to enhance your security on Facebook account. Even when you forget password, you can reset the new one follow this phone number. Facebook will send you new password via SMS.
To Add you phone number, go to Settings > Mobile > click Add a Phone
Select your country code and input your phone number
3- Activate Log In Approvals
Login Approval is a one of security feature by Facebook. It is protect your Facebook account when have login from other browser that you never used before. It will sent a security code to your phone to confirm before use your Facebook account. To activate this login approval go to Setting > Security > Edit Login Approvals
When you tick on Require a security code......it will appear one box, it is the instruction about login apprval work. Click Get Started
When you click Get Started the other box appear, it is just inform you. Click Continue
And Confirm with your password facebook again and that's all for login approval.
Now have someone login into your facebook account from other browser it will ask the security code before used it.
4- Disconnect Previous Activity
Facebook keep all activity when we are login into our account. It will show us about location, device type and last accessed. So to make secure with your Facebook account, your should check all activity. If you found have something wrong about location or device type that login access, you mush end activity quickly and change the password.
To check all this activity go to Setting > Security > Where You're Logged In
5- Don't Use "Keep me logged in"
When you open Facebook, it will give you input the Email or Phone and Password and have small check box below the Email or Phone, it is a "Keep me logged in". Please make sure don't tick this option when login into Facebook
6- Think Before You Click
Sometime your friend send you a chat with the link that help to click, so never click suspicious link. You need to chat ask your friend about this link first. Sometime your friend click on spam link , suddenly will send you or tag you in spammy post. You also shouldn't download application like (.exe) if you not sure what they are. If you see something suspicious on Facebook, you need to report it
7- Don't Accept Friend Request You Don't Know
Most of people want to have many friend. So they need to add or confirm friend that most of them not the real friend. It is dangerous to lost account. So the best for secure with your account do not accept friend request or add other friend that you don't know. Sometime scammer create fake account to friend people, becoming with scammer allow them access to spam into your timeline, tag you in post and send you malicious message.
8- Enable Login Alert
With this option when you enable, Facebook will send you an alert every time when have someone access your account from unknown computer or other device. You will receive a warning someone has gained unauthorized access to you account.
Go to Setting > Security > Login Alerts
You can choice what type of alert you want Facebook notification, Email, and Test message
9- Log Out Facebook
When you enjoy with your Facebook ready, you should log out your Facebook. It is secure to protect your Facebook account that not allow other people to use your Facebook account directly. So don't forget log out your Facebook account.
